Available from The HUBSCRUB Company
Product Details
The UV model has four (4) UV lamps. Two UV lamps are positioned inside the wash chamber at the top on both sides pointed down onto equipment. Two additional UV lamps are located in the back facing the front of equipment. These positions were determined for the best high touch areas of wheelchairs, commodes and other similar equipment.
Prior to UV disinfection, equipment is washed and rinsed to provide a clean surface which is always recommended prior to applying a disinfectant. Independent lab testing confirmed that when the UV lamps were on for 3 minutes after the wash and rinse cycle, there was complete elimination of C-Diff, MRSA and CRE pathogens. Total time to wash, rinse and UV disinfect was 6 minutes. The distance between the UV lamps and equipment surfaces is approximately 3 feet. These short distances accounts for fast disinfection.
In addition to a standard process of washing, rinsing and disinfection, a UV Only cycle can be selected for non-washable equipment provided the surface has been cleaned.
