Roman has won many awards both domestic and international and he is one of the Portland Japanese Garden’s preferred photographer members. Additionally, Roman was commissioned by the Portland Water Bureau to photograph Bull Run Reservoir. When capturing his images, Roman incorporates the principals of Evidence-based design and is always keeping the viewers experience in mind as he utilizes todays professional tools to capture as much of the experience possible and re-present that experience to those that view his work.
Currently Roman’s work is mostly focused on the Pacific Northwest including areas around the City of Portland to Smith Rock in central Oregon, from lighthouses and rocky beaches of the Oregon coast to the year-round beauty of the Portland Japanese Garden; to majestic volcanic peaks of the Cascade Range.
