I-9 Full Service End-to-End Compliance
A fully managed, end-to-end remote I-9 verification service that combines AI-powered identity fraud detection with live expert completion — eliminating employer burden while delivering audit-ready compliance from Day One.
When a new hire is identified, UCA automatically initiates a secure workflow. The new hire completes identity verification via live biometric selfie, fills out Section 1 of the I-9, and uploads their identity documents — all from any device, before their first day. Lightico's IDV technology simultaneously scans documents for authenticity, cross-matches data across all submitted materials, detects deepfakes, and flags duplicate documents that human reviewers cannot identify.
Upon submission, the new hire connects via live video to a credentialed UC Alternative I-9 Expert, who conducts the full USCIS-compliant Alternative Procedure review in real time. The expert then reviews the IDV results and document images, completes Section 2 as the employer's authorized representative, and digitally signs the form.
The completed I-9, supporting document images, and full timestamped audit trail are securely stored in our platform, segmented by employer and employee. The case is then submitted to E-Verify via API, with results received and stored directly in the employee's file alongside the complete I-9 record.
The result: A fully compliant, fraud-resistant I-9 — with zero HR burden, complete audit readiness, and protection against ICE's expanded 2026 fine schedule.
