Project Description:

Rehabilitation and Transformation of an existing Assisted Living in Raytown, Missouri.
The project aimed to rehabilitate and re-purpose an existing 40,131 square foot assisted
living facility into a modern Residential Treatment Facility. Extensive interior and exterior
renovations were carried out to create a therapeutic and welcoming environment for
patients seeking treatment. A new 926 square foot building addition was constructed to
accommodate the facility’s expanded needs.

Highlights: The site was redesigned to incorporate outdoor lounges, covered pavilions,
and recreational amenities, providing patients with spaces for relaxation and social
interaction. The entire site was fenced to ensure patient privacy and security. The
existing exterior building envelope was redesigned. The existing brick veneer walls were
carefully preserved and reused, complemented by new fiber cement siding to provide
a fresh and modern appearance. Thermally broken aluminum storefront windows and
entries were installed to improve energy efficiency while allowing abundant natural
light to enter the facility. The interior layout incorporates various group spaces and
patient lounges to facilitate therapy sessions, support group meetings, and recreational
activities. These areas were designed to promote interaction and provide patients with
comfortable spaces for relaxation and socialization.
